Elan Amphibio Waveflex 82 XTI Mens Skis with ELX 12.0 Fusion Bindings 2012 - Current ski trends have the concept or rocker being thrown into just about every ski out there and regard of the name most forms are are largely the same. Amphibio is different. Where rocker is a set amount of rise over the tip and/or tail of a ski, Amphibio is a totally reworked approach. The idea is simple enough, rocker makes skis easy to turn and camber gives skis great edge grip, so why not use both. To achieve this Amphibio skis are fully cambered tip to tail on the inside edges for power and grip, but the outside edge is slightly rockered in the tip and tail allowing the uphill ski to enter the turn with ease and control. This technology creates a right and left specific ski. The 82 XTI is wide enough to handle crud and off piste conditions and quick enough to rip turns on hard packed. Using a laminated woodcore with Dual Ti layers, and full RST sidewalls the 82 XTI has powerful edge hold and precise turn initiation making it a great ski for any skier advanced to expert who spends the majority of time on piste but will venture into the trees, crud and bumps on occasion. Features: Fusion Binding Integration Allows The Binding To Become a True Part Of the Ski, ELX 12.0 Fusion Included.
